Across the Pond! Moving to the US with Pets!

By Pet Relocation | January 29th, 2007
Traveling with your pet from the UK to the US is much easier than going the other way. Today on AllExperts.com, we had a question from Mel who was inquiring on how to bring her dog into the United States.

Hi,
I'm relocating to North Carolina and I want to take my 3yr old Westie with me. I have a couple of questions
The first is will he have to go into quarantine when he arrives?
The second is how will he travel and what kind of cost will there be.
Many thanks in antcipation
Mel

Traveling with Pets to Greece

By Pet Relocation | January 19th, 2007
This question from AllExperts.com comes from an American bound for Greece with their pets traveling in the cabin.

I have two cats in America I would like to bring to Greece by plane as carry ons with my dad. When they get to Greece though I'm a bit unsure of what will happen. Will they have to stay in quarentine? Will they need pet passports? Is it dangerous for them?
N.

Hi N.,

Thanks for contacting PetRelocation.com! Hopefully I will be able to help you with your two cats.

Importing Pets into the US from the EU

By Pet Relocation | January 19th, 2007
Another AllExperts.com question, this time about bringing a dog into the United States from Europe.

Hello!
I'm traveling from Germany to Illinois with a Cocker Spaniel. I just got his health
certificate, but found out he was behind on his rabies shot. They gave him an
update, but is it too soon to fly? We leave in 2 days. Thanks
S.

Hi S.,

That's a great question. Thanks for stopping by to ask us.

Myth #2 - The cargo hold is not pressurized?!

By Pet Relocation | January 11th, 2007
This is not true!

When working with pet moving companies like ours, www.petrelocation.com, we work with airlines that only have pressurized & climate controlled cargo holds.

Should I tranquilize my pet prior to their move?

By Pet Relocation | January 10th, 2007
We here at PetRelocation.com (www.petrelocation.com) come across a lot of different questions and comments that surround the pet relocation process. It is these questions, or what we like to call Myths, that has prompted me to post of few of our answers to these common Pet Moving Myths!

Myth #1: Pets should be tranquilized before shipping because it will be so traumatic.
