Hello,

We are planning a relocation around June 1, 2014, and we're interested in preliminary information about any critical steps we need to take to make the pet relocation happen (i.e. paperwork, vaccinations, etc.) and the timelines we must adhere to. Also, what can we anticipate the cost of relocation for two cats? Please advise.....

Thank you!
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We have helped several pets move to and from Kuala Lumpur and would be happy to assist.

First, take a look at the pet import rules for Malaysia. As you can see, there are several steps that will need to be carried out carefully and in the correct order. Your cats will need to be microchipped if they're not already, that will need to be followed by rabies vaccines, and you'll need import permits (among other things). It's important to start the process as soon as you can.

It may also help to read a few of our customer stories for an idea of what it's really like: Here's the story of Archie's move to Kuala Lumpur and the story of Lucky and Ginger's trip, as well.

Please let us know what you think after digesting some of this information, and we'd be happy to tell you more about our services if you think you'd like some help. In general, the cost for us to move one small pet internationally begins at around $3000 USD, but we'd be happy to give you a more precise quote for your cats' move after hearing a few more details.

Either way, thanks again for contacting us and good luck with everything. We hope to hear from you soon!
