UK Pet Imports from ‘Unlisted’ Countries

Dear PetRelocation,

I wish to see how I can transport a small dog from Grenada to London around Sept. 19, 2015. The animal has all the paperwork/checks that must be completed in order to comply with travelling standards. My girlfriend and I will be flying back to the UK on the 19th with British Airways. Any information would be gratefully received.

Kind regards,
Adam

Hi Adam,

Thanks for contacting us with your question. It sounds like you're aware of the rules, but just to be thorough we'd like to share the link to the official pet import rules for the UK as they're outlined on GOV.UK. Grenada is an "unlisted country" so you'll need to follow the requirements as outlined in this section. Specifically:

Flying with British Airways is a good choice (we often use them for our clients' journeys due to their pet safe practices). Please note that your dog will not be able to fly in the cabin, rather this will be a cargo flight. Read more about cargo pet travel and watch the accompanying video to find out what to expect (and what exactly constitutes "pet friendly cargo travel").

If you'd like further assistance with your move, please contact us for a consultation. Hopefully this helps -- good luck with your trip!
