Question: I am planning to return to live in England from France. I will be driving back and am not sure what the legal requirements are for me to bring my French dog back with me.

Thank you for your question. There are a LOT of rules pertaining to bringing a dog from France into the pet friendly UK. England is rabies-free, so any pets coming into England require a blood test followed by a 6 month quarantine.
