Reminder about travel crates when flying pets

Delta Airlines issued a notice to IPATA members yesterday saying they would no longer be accepting pet travel crates that have top-entry doors, like the one pictured below.  These crates have never been considered safe for pet travel, due to their poor infrastructure.  PetRelocation.com never allows any of their clients' pets to travel in crates with doors on the top and we're glad to see Delta taking forward steps in to keep pets safe.

The best pet travel crates, in our opinion, are the Varikennel SkyKennels.  They are sturdy, suitable for international travel as well as domestic pet travel, and will last a lifetime.
