Moving Pets to Australia From Guam

Hi PetRelocation,

We are returning to Australia after two years living in Guam and would appreciate any help in organizing flights and paperwork for our dogs as I'm finding it very difficult to get any help. Is this something you can help me with?

As there are no direct flights from Guam to Melbourne, I am finding it difficult to know which flights would be the best and to also minimize quarantine time.

Thanks,
Christine

Hi Christine,

Thank you for submitting a question to us! The good news is that Guam is classified as a "Group 2" country so you are eligible for direct import with the minimum 10-day quarantine upon arrival (which is required for all entering pets).

Here is an overview of the steps you'll need to take. For further information about pet travel to Australia, you're also welcome to read through our Australia Pet Travel Spotlight series.

As for organizing the flight, you will likely need to transit through one or more cities using one or more airlines -- it could get complicated, but we are happy to discuss your options with you. Please fill out our online consultation form to find out more about our door-to-door services.

Alternately, you can use IPATA.org to search for local agents who may be able to assist you.

Either way, we wish you a safe trip! Just let us know if we can be of further assistance, and thanks again for reaching out.
