We have a very special pet move of the month for May: Bella, a Shih Tzu who we moved to Hong Kong recently. Below is what Bella's owner, Bonnie, had to say after her move about PetRelocation.com's services and her experience with us! We're so glad we were able to help Bonnie with Bella and we wish them both the best for their time in Hong Kong!
Bella hanging out at our agent's office in Maryland!Bella, a 6-month old Shih Tzu, is my little princess, so I would never have left her behind when I decided to move back to Hong Kong from the U.S.. PetRelocation.com was the first thing that came up when I searched on google for pet moving tips. After seeing so many good reviews on their website, I knew my search was over.
My agent was Cara. Before I made my final decision, I asked her a ton of questions and she was very patient with me. About one month before I left the States, I signed the contract with PetRelocation for helping me move my baby across half of the world. The welcome package you get has all the labels, water bowls, funnels, and forms that you need. Cara even sent me informat ion for getting the qualified crate. Ten days before Bella's departure, she had to visit the vet to get the health certificates signed. WHILE I was at the vet, Cara was on the phone with me to make sure ALL the documents were perfect. I was really impressed by this procedure.
The health certificates endorsement process was smooth and super fast. They even provide you with a Fedex overnight envelope for you to send all the papers to USDA and a shipping label for them to send everything back to PetRelocation. Everything was done after one weekend. That was a big relief for me.
Bella in Hong Kong!
PetRelocation provided a lot of great and efficient services, including boarding service before Bella's flight, so she wouldn't arrive at Hong Kong way earlier than I did. My favorite part was that whenever you call, your agent would always pick up the phone before the third ring and answer whatever questions you have. Such experience did not happen to me very often, so I was very happy with that.
Their agent in Hong Kong gave me a call as soon as he picked up Bella at the airport. Two hours later, she was at her new home, all excited and happy. That was one of my greatest moments in my life.
My advice for you is that, make sure you ask all the questions you need to, because you love your pets and you want them to be safe and comfortable during their move. Also, start the process as early as you can, so you would have more time to talk to your agent about your pet's specific needs. From all the good reviews they get, I don't think you can go wrong with PetRelocation.com. Hope you can bring your pet to whatever place you're moving to and live with your baby happily ever after.
We recently moved two cats, Jo and Jed, from Sterling, VA to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG). Moving cats to Papua New Guinea wasn't easy but when we say "Any Pet, Anywhere, Any Time," we mean it! Now that they've had some time to get settled, their owner Sarah sent us some great pictures of them along with a few words about her experience with PetRelocation.com:
Here are some photos of Jed and Jo in their new house in Papua New Guinea. If Jed had her way she would spend all of her time on the balcony sleeping in the sun. Jo prefers the cooler climate indoors.
The assistance that Pet Relocation provided for us was invaluable. The difficulties in shipping our girls more than half way around to the world to a location that has very strict quaratine and entry requirements did not phase Pet Relocation at all.
Meet Lenny! Lenny is a Persian cat moving from Vancouver, BC to London, UK. He has one amber eye and one blue eye and is GORGEOUS! He left tonight for his flight to the UK. We're looking forward to getting some pictures of Lenny when he arrives in the UK but until then, he's going to nap and enjoy some Vancouver Olympics before his big flight to London!
Lenny is ready for his big trip to the UK!
We received a great note from Elizabeth today, whose adorable little Dachshund, Boudreaux, moved recently from Atlanta to Hong Kong.
First of all, thank you so very much for your incredible patience with two worried parents in this process!
Boudreaux arrived perfectly fine to Hong Kong late last night, and is already feeling quite confident about his place here, strutting around Causeway Bay like the biggest little dachshund in town. We've already been too busy exploring this morning to email you! He was a little groggy on arrival, but nothing a good meal and sleep didn't cure. He is doing great and was back to his old self in no time!
I will recommend PetRelocation without reservation to all our fellow expats looking to move their nearest and dearest four legged friends, and will send you a picture this weekend of us in Hong Kong. Thank you for handling our little guy with such lavish attention and care!
Will definitely keep you posted and have some fun pictures your way in no time!
Thank you so much, and please let me know if I can help you with a testimonial or any recommendations - you guys were great!

We just got these pictures of Gus and Simba who are moving from Tokyo, Japan to Jamison, PA. They were checked in for their flight at the Narita Airport and will now fly from Tokyo to Newark, where we'll pick them up and clear them through customs prior to delivering them to their owners.
Gus and Simba look like they have plenty of leg room in their crates, and they look very relaxed. Enjoy your flights home!
Stella and Gracie are celebrating Christmas in Shanghai this year. We moved them a little over a year ago to Hong Kong, and then again recently from Hong Kong to Shanghai. Here they are dressed up in their holiday finest and don't they look thrilled! We wish them and their family a very Happy Holiday season!

We just moved Namo from Los Angeles to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His owners report that he is adjusting well and sent us this very colorful picture of Namo in his new yard in Malaysia. It looks so green there!
Ursula and Loki are two big Great Danes that we moved from Austin, Texas to Tai Pei, Taiwan. They first completed their pre-quarantine here in Austin prior to traveling to Tai Pei, after receiving the necessary FAVN blood tests. Unlike some other rabies free countries like the UK and Tokyo, even though there is a six month pre-quarantine prior to pets traveling, there is still a three week quarantine done at the official quarantine facility in Tai Pei.
The picture below was taken of Ursula and Loki in qurantine after they arrived in Taiwan. In quarantine, pets are walked and exercised daily and owners are allowed to visit them as well. For more information on Tai Pei Animal Quarantine Station, check out our FAQ page.
Hi from Tai Pei!
We moved "Sunflower" from Tuckerton, New Jersey to Sutton Upon Derwent in the United Kingdom recently and got a great testimonial from Sunflower's family. We love getting emails like this one. There's nothing better than hearing how much our services mean to people and their families. After all, it's why we do what we do!
A few months ago, we were contacted by Vicky, who was wanting to purchase a Cairn Terrier puppy in the United States to send to Dubai as a surprise for her daughter Daisy. Her friend in Dubai also wanted to purchase a puppy from the same breeder. Vicky was quickly finding out that moving puppies to Dubai isn't always the easiest thing. Pets must be at least 4 months of age to allow for adequate rabies vaccination time.
