Finding a good vet is not the easiest thing to do, especially when you just move to new city, state, or even country. You may not always find the best one right away, and you may even end up seeing 2 or 3 before you finally decide on the vet that is right for you.
The right vet for you may be one that has extended office hours, many of these though often have a large number of vets on staff that rotate through, so you may not always see the same doctor. Many smaller local vets have very limited office hours, and you may find it difficult to find the time to actually going in to the office.
Your first time going to a new vet make sure you get to talk with the actual doctor that will be overseeing the care of your pet. Remember that you should always see the actual Veterinarian each time you are in the office, and this is not always the person who spends the most time in the exam room with you. Often times it is good to ask your friends or family in the area for recommendations for a vet, online reviews may also be helpful. The key thing is that you find a vet that both you and your pet will be comfortable with.
