How was your experience finding pet care in your new country? Did you have a hard time finding a vet, boarding facility, pet food, etc? |
| Within a few days I was able to find a vet for Lilly and it was just around the corner. Depending on where you live in London, vets seem to be easy to find. The vet we visited was absolutely great and within days she was feeling much better from a respiratory infection. |

Any other suggestions, good finds or other pet friendly places you have found? |
| I haven't been here too long but I have been able to find the equivalent of a US Pet Store. Its called Pet Pavillion and is located on Sydney Street in Chelsea. |

How was your pet(s) reaction to the new environment? Do they seem to enjoy their new surroundings? |
| I had been fairly concerned how she would settle, but Lilly probably settled quicker than myself! |

What's your favorite local hotspot that you've discovered? A good restaurant, a beautiful overlook, a great dog park? We'd like to hear about it. |

What are some things you miss the most about where you came from/the US? Do you miss a certain type of food or activity that you could only do here? |
| Definitely! Purina Healthy Weight cat food and tartar control treats. Purina sells cat food here, but its very limited. I also have a feeling that cats don't eat treats as much in the UK as the supply is extremely limited. I've started to think how I can import cat treats! |

If you had to relocate your pet(s) all over again, what would you do differently? |
| Nothing differently. Through the process, I continued to think "could I do this myself" but when it came down to the time to move Lilly, I am so glad that I had Matt Kincaid's help. Matt was beyond great and his help was invaluable. |

| |
What was the best/worst part of your pet relocation? |
| The best part was the delivery and knowing she made it to the UK safely! The worst.. .seeing her picked up. It was a snowy and cold day and the agent in the US had a long drive. I have never left her so that was the hardest... but I had the confidence that she would arrive a few days later and be fine. |

How long do you plan to stay in your new country? Do you plan to return to your country of origin, or do you have plans to move on to another location? |
| Indefinitely. Hopefully I will stay long term. |
| |
Any other suggestions or helpful tips for pet owners living in your new country? |
| Do your research. I have spent time on the internet looking for vets, pet sitters, food. I had been nervous about bringing an indoor cat to the UK, thinking it was uncommon but its definitely not. Pet services and food are supplied here, its just a matter of adjustment. |
