What Type of Pets Do You Have?:

4 cats, ages 8 months to 3 years

How was your experience finding pet care in your new country?:

We have been vet shopping. Lots of good advice. We will be taking our dog to the check out the final (we think) candidate this weekend.

Any other suggestions?:

We actually found online evaluations helpful.

How was your pet(s) reaction to the new environment?:

I mean this seriously, inside of 30 minutes our cats were quite at home.

What's your favorite local hotspot that you've discovered?:

The whole Virginia Higlands neighborhood. Lots of cool restaurants and shops and a dog groomer/salon called glamour-paws.

What are some things you miss the most about where you came?:

Family. My mother, two sisters and nephew all live within a few miles of our old home.

If you had to relocate your pet(s) all over again, what would you do differently?:

I think we made good, thoughtful decisions and that the move for all 5 (our dog rode with us) came off well.

What was the best/worst part of your pet relocation?:

We were very anxious about boarding the cats for an entire week.

How long do you plan to stay in your new country?:

Indefinitely.
