I came across this article by the Canadian Press today about Montreal and its growing trend of pet friendly accomodations and events.  The article notes that "Montreal is one step closer to being North America's Paris" by offering "'Paws and Pray,'" a recently inaugurated monthly communion church service.

The 2010 Independent Pet and Animal Transportation Association Conference will be held in Montreal, a growingIncidentally, the Independent Pet and Animal Transportation Association is hosting their annual convention in Montreal next year.  It is the practice of IPATA to have an annual convention, with the 2009 convention being held in Dublin, Ireland, and before that Newark and San Francisco.  The association tries to find locations that serve as shipping hubs, or places where pets are commonly sent in and out of, so that members can familiarize themselves with these locales.
