We're always on the look out for new pet travel products and this MSNBC article has some great options for pets on the go.  One that caught our eye was the aptly-named Sleepypod, a pet carrier that not only provides the perfect place for your small pet to catch some shut-eye but also can helpyour pet to travel safely in the car.  The unique system allows the Sleepypod to be secured by a seat belt when in the car and has been crash-tested.  This is much safer than allowing pets to travel loose when in the car, which can result in your pet's escape or being thrown from the car in the event of a crash.

Now Sleepypod has designed a new model called the Sleepypod Air, which is made for small pets traveling in-cabin.  The unique design allows the long ends of the carrier to be folded up to fit under the seat when the plane is taking off or landing, and then unfold to let your pets to have more "leg room" when the plane is in the air.
