We're currently moving two large Mastiffs named Luke and Cain to Madrid from Austin, Texas.  Last week we posted a photo of Cain's custom travel crate, which is over four feet tall!

Luke, however, is a smaller Mastiff, as he's still a growing puppy.  So for him, we had initially ordered a #700 series pet travel crate.  However, as he waited to depart for his trip to Spain, he did what puppies do best:  GREW!

Fortunately, pet travel crate extension kits can be ordered to make a too-short travel crate taller.  These are merely specially-fitted pieces of wood that can add 4-6 inches of height to a crate, giving an extra-large pet some much-needed head room.

Here's a picture of Luke in his travel crate after the extensions were added.  You can see the piece of wood that makes the crate taller on the left side of the picture.  Now there's plenty of room over his head when he's standing, which will make all the difference when flying!  Don't you wish your seat in coach was this roomy?
