How was your experience finding pet care in your new country?:
So far, we have not found a long term pet care, but the cross border transfer was handle very well.
Any other suggestions?:
While our intention was to have the pets delivered close to the move in date, availability of a delivery agent was limited. However, with all the move in activity, it worked out better that the dogs arrived 4 days after the furniture.
How was your pet(s) reaction to the new environment?:
We had invisible fence at US home and had it installed in new Canada house, which aided in a quick transition.
What's your favorite local hotspot that you've discovered?:
Still looking, have been limited to home depot and walmart with the move.
What are some things you miss the most about where you came?:
Family & friends, MI Football Sat, TV coverage of college sports. Secluded lot, price of wine,
What was the best/worst part of your pet relocation?:
Time apart. It is hard on the pets to be kenneled for 5 days.
How long do you plan to stay in your new country?:
18 months would be great, but no guarantees
Any other suggestions or helpful tips for pet owners living in your new country?:
Get you paper work in order.
