CAYMAN ISLAND PET TRAVEL RULES & REQUIREMENTS
The Cayman Islands is considered to be Rabies Free and as such requires pets to be:
- Micro-chipped
- Have a valid rabies Vaccine given after the microchip
- Rabies TITER test
- Wait 6 months (this can be avoided provided below conditions are met) before entering the country
The 6 month wait can be waived if the pet is coming from a rabies free area:
- Antigua
- Australia
- Barbados
- Bermuda
- Great Britain
- Hawaii
- Ireland (Rep)
- Jamaica
- New Zealand
- Northern Ireland
- St Vincent
OR
If the pet is coming from a territory that is considered Rabies Controlled:
- Anguilla
- Austria
- Bahamas
- Belgium
- British Virgin Islands
- Canada
- Curacao
- Cyprus
- Denmark
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Guadeloupe
- Hawaii
- Hungary
- Iceland
- Israel
- Italy
- Liechtenstein
- Luxembourg
- Malta
- Martinique
- Monaco
- Montserrat
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Portugal
- Spain
- St Kitts and Nevis
- St Lucia
- St Martin
- Sweden
- Switzerland

AND
The pet is over 9 months of age and can demonstrate a rabies vaccination history of at least two vaccinations not more than one year and not less than 6 months apart. The permanent identification (microchip or tattoo) must be applied before the most recent rabies vaccination was administered.
