So when you are enjoying the exotic Pattaya beaches, or the beauty of Bangkok, or the largest Island Phuket, if you miss your catty or doggie, don’t you worry? You can get your pets into Thailand and make your international move more exiting. You just have to follow certain protocols.

1. Obtain an authorization to import your pet by air. This can be done at the Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok.
2. You will have to pay an import duty. But the Import duty is exempted if your pet will be Thai for more than 6 months.
3. Identity certificate signed in country of origin by a registered veterinarian, describing age, breed, sex, color, etc. of your pet
4. Leptospirosis vaccination certificate- at least 21 days prior to departure.
5. Rabies vaccination certificate- your pet must be vaccinated at least 15 days before departure.
6. There are some viruses in Thailand that UK animals are not exposed to. Take professional advice about this matter. Basically what is needed is medication to protect a dog from heart worm (it is the biggest dog killer in Thailand, and something to protect from tick-borne diseases.
