Penney was born and raised in beautiful east Tennessee where she developed her appreciation for nature. Being fortunate enough to experience life in Sardinia, Italy for a few years with her young family sparked an excitement to see more of the world. San Diego then Austin were the scenes chosen for her son’s grade school years, where she and her family enjoyed the countless scenic spots, delicious food, and unique cultures both incredible cities have to offer. Being back in sunny San Diego, Balboa Park and its surrounding canyons are a favorite, near-daily destination on walks with her dog Edie.
