How Much Does It Cost to Move My Pet?

Estimating the costs of pet travel How Much Does Pet Travel Cost?

When researching pet transport options, it's natural that one of the first questions most people have is, "how much does it cost to move my pet?"

Unfortunately it's difficult to answer this question right away due to the complex nature of pet travel. Every move is different, and depending on where you're going, who you're bringing, and when your move is, prices range significantly.

Specifically, here are a few factors that affect the price of a pet move:

  • Pet size (weight, height and length)

  • Origin

  • Destination

  • Proximity to a major airport

  • Time of year

  • Whether or not you have a travel crate

  • Whether or not your pet is up to date on their rabies and other vaccines

  • Whether or not your pet is microchipped

If you're starting to plan and budget your move and want to know how much you can expect to spend on your pet's travel logistics, the best thing to do is contact us for a consultation so that someone from our team can ask a few questions, gauge your expectations, and start to piece together a basic move plan that will provide the groundwork for a price estimate.

1. I have a service dog and free air travel is authorized by the American With Disabilities Act (ADA).2. I realize that assist with travel by your company would require additional costs.3. If all paperwork is in in order and will be ready, are you able to approximate the cost. I understand that exact costs cannot be given. This is just a preliminary start to my plans.4. I would be traveling from Raleigh, North Carolina, USA to Edinburgh.

Hi I have 2 pugs who have microchips and are up to date with vaccines how much for a health certificate . I am moving to hawaii my vet doesnt do health certificates.

By on February 7, 2018 at 10:10 am

Hi Cesar,

Thanks for your question! It depends what country you’re moving to Hawaii from, and the cost will vary. There’s no set price for a health certificate. Some countries require government-issued certificates, so if your veterinarian doesn’t do them, this may be the reason. The department of agriculture in your current country will have the specific requirements for the health certificate and should be able to provide you with resources for locating someone who can issue one.

We are happy to help with this move if you’d like to inquire about professional assistance. If you would like to speak with a relocation consultant, please fill out this form and someone on our team will contact you as soon as possible!

Hope this helps!

Hello,we saw some dogs on internet in China and thinking about to buy micro teacup pomeranian. But we don't speak their language and don't know rules. We even can not speak with owner the puppy. We want to ask if you can assist with paper work (in obtaining health, rabies and travel documents), help make transfer money to owner and bring puppy from China to USA (Houston, Texas). Please let us know if you can help.Thank you!
