Pet Travel Question: Moving Pets from Brazil to the US

Planning Pet Travel to the United States From Brazil

Hi PetRelocation,

I would like to know what companies can move my pets for me, and what is the documentation required to bring them to the United States. Thanks a lot!

-Ana Cristina

Hi Ana Cristina!

Thanks for your question. For your information, here are the pet import requirements for the United States. This country has some of the easier rules for importing pets, so primarily you'll need to focus on acquiring the International Health Certificates, buying airline-approved travel crates and booking flights on a pet-friendly airline (we often use United for our clients' pets).

It's a great idea to start your travel preparations well in advance in order to get all your paperwork in order, and if you'd like to enlist the help of a PetRelocation Specialist, contact us here for a consultation. If you are looking for assistance, we can help oversee vet visits, gather the correct documents, book the flights and arrange transportation to and from the airport on either end.

We'd be happy to help you with your move -- just let us know if we can be of assistance, and either way, good luck!
