A few weeks back we wrote a blog about the importance of your pet's microchip appearing on all of your pet's vaccination certificates and other vet paperwork; and it occurred to me that my dog's microchip probably had not been scanned since it was implanted when she was a puppy. At our recent vet visit Aussie was due for several booster vaccines and some blood work. I made it a point to request that the vet scan Aussie's chip and to please record it on her vaccine certificate. It really is that easy, you just have to ask. Now if we ever need to pet move, especially internationally, we already have the right foot forward. Make sure you keep your pet up to date with all of their vaccines if you plan to move or not, it's for their health!
