You will be surprised to see Tulips dancing to the wind, yes, tulips, they are said to have originated here in Turkey, the first bulb having been a gift from the King of Netherlands when he visited Turkey, there are said to be black Tulips as well, imagine that! Be it the Suleymaniye Mosque or the Blue Mosque, with its breathtaking interiors, the chandelier with thousands of candles lit up, Turkey is a treat for all those who set foot in this in the country.

Known for its hospitality, mouth-watering cuisine, and the infamous castles and churches, Turkey makes anyone want to visit and not leave. With varied ethnicity inhibiting this country, you can find Turkish, Arab, and even Romans going about their business. To enter, if youҒre a Non - US citizen, they insist on either a business or tourist visa. Incase you plan on taking your canine friend along, make sure to get information from officials or the a pet moving company about the formalities to be completed before finalizing the trip.

Please note, that some Turks consider dogs to be unclean animals and they don't let them into their homes, so make sure to be wary of this to avoid any awkward moments. The main breed of dogs in Turkey is the Kangal, pictured above, regarded by many as being the best sheepdog, as it is big in stature and known to be genteel and protective with children.

Most public transportation in Turkey, do not allow dogs, but double check before riding on one. Since, the Turks are by nature dog lovers, your pet wont have any trouble tagging along with you and enjoying the sights as much as you can. It is just nice to be respectful of all when traveling with your dog in Turkey!

Importing pets to Istanbul, Turkey is not a complex process as it requires you have to have an International Health Certificate, signed and endorsed by your Government Authority and a Rabies Vaccination Certificate showing that the rabies has been given to each pet within the same year as the departure date and more than 30 days prior.
