Incredible Experiences: Three Pets Move to the UK

daisy and dolly"PetRelocation made a stressful move so easy!"

When I found out I had the opportunity to move to London, UK to advance my career, I was excited but incredibly nervous. I knew I could never leave my two dogs and my cat behind in the United States (Atlanta, GA). My pets are a part of my family; they are my children and they mean the world to me! Moving without them was not an option.

Before I even accepted the job offer, I began researching options to move my pets abroad. To say that I was nervous to move my two dogs and cat would be an understatement. I have read news article horror stories about animals dying in transit or getting lost by airlines. I was frantic.

I found PetRelocation after some searching online and read positive reviews so I decided to give them a call to discuss my options. Right off the bat, the relocation team began to ease my fears and assured me that everything would be okay. They were very thorough and answered all of my (sometimes crazy) questions. I already started to feel better from my first conversation.

Throughout the next several months prior to the move, I kept in close contact with my amazing pet relocation specialist, Katy Hearne-Church. Katy held my hand every step of the way through the entire process. I think I probably emailed her with "dumb" questions or called her about 100 times to ask things. She was always so patient and kind and able to answer everything so effortlessly. I cannot stress enough how much I appreciated her support!

We even had an issue with paperwork at one point during the process, and Katy personally reached out to my vet and to the USDA and got on their case in order to immediately get it fixed.

The pets all arrived to Heathrow with no issues whatsoever. I could not believe how easy the process ended up being. I expected my pets to arrive bewildered and confused, but instead they were released to me at Heathrow happy as clams and acting as if nothing at all had just happened. They were not phased at ALL by the travel!

I thought my dog Dolly would have been the most upset (she is terrified of being in cars, so I thought the plane would really frighten her) but even Dolly was 100% fine and had no problems at all.

The animals all adjusted to our new London flat immediately. Our cat, who took a whole month to adjust to a new house when we moved houses in Atlanta a year ago, walked right out of his cage into our flat and began exploring. I couldn't believe it!

I was so shocked by how easy the entire move was. I fully believe PetRelocation was the reason for this. I could not have done it on my own. They took amazing care of my pets and myself (and saved my sanity!).

Thank you so much for all of your help, and especially to Katy for being so wonderful. I will be using PetRelocation again in the future when I eventually move back to the US!!
