Happy Take Your Dog to Work Day!

Not only is it Friday (yay!), it's also Take Your Dog to Work Day! Some people are lucky enough to include their pups in their work routine almost every day (we always have a few hounds running around our office), but for others this can serve as a day of awareness and can open the door to some important conversations.

Take Your Dog to Work Day began in 1999 to celebrate the positive effects of dog ownership, and it can also encourage people to adopt dogs from shelters and rescue organizations. This event highlights the ways that dogs can take part in daily life, provides an opportunity to talk about how dogs can relieve stress and promote happier office environments, and proves that more and more people are viewing canines as valued companions rather than burdens to be left at home.

Do you bring your dog to work with you? Does your employer have a pet policy? If you work from home, does your dog help you get things done? Share your stories and pictures with us here or on Facebook!
