Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week: Meet Mandie

We decided to feature a dog today who's been at the Town Lake Animal Shelter in Austin for almost a month (since August 25th).  Meet Mandie, a beautiful brindle Pit Bull terrier/Boxer mix.  She has a very friendly face and looks like she'd love to go for a run with you or play fetch in a big back yard.  Her name makes us think of the song "Mandy" by Barry Manilow.  The lyrics are especially true of many abandoned pets:

"Well you came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away, oh Mandy."

Want to help this Mandie?  She will give you so much -- and just needs some love in return!  Town Lake Animal Shelter is a kill shelter, which means Mandie's days are numbered (and so is the pet who needs her spot in the adoption area).  The sooner Mandie finds a home, the sooner that next puppy in line can avoid euthanasia and be moved into Mandie's adoption kennel.  So by saving one, you're actually saving two...or three...or four.
