Question: Hi, we are thinking about moving to Australia we are aware of the pet transport quarantine time but we were wondering what the rules/laws are in Australia for keeping dogs, is there a license, etc.

At least in Victoria, as of May 1, 2007 all dogs and cats must be registered and microchipped. Taking care of all the import requirements for getting your dog(s) into Australia should take care of most of what you'll need once you're in Australia, just make sure to register your dog(s) as well.
