Australian Quarantine Station 2008-09 Holiday Information

Dear Importer / Exporter,
Re: Pick up of Live Animals over the Christmas and New Year Period
The Animal Quarantine stations will be closed for the 2008-09 Christmas and New Year holiday period as follows:
EASTERN CREEK QUARANTINE STATION, SYDNEY
Last animal pick up from Sydney International Airport will be on the 24th of December 2008 and animal collection will resume on the 5th January 2009.

Օ BYFORD QUARANTINE STATION, PERTH
Last animal pick up from Perth Airport will be on the 23rd December 2008 and animal collection will resume on the 2nd January 2009.

SPOTSWOOD QUARANTINE STATION, MELBOURNE
Last animal pick up from Tullamarine Airport will be on the 23rd December 2008 and animal collection will resume on the 2nd January 2009.

The Quarantine stations do not normally receive any animals or allow visiting of animals on public holidays or weekends.
At Eastern Creek, animals can NOT be visited between 25/12/2008 to 4/1/2009. Both Spotswood Quarantine station and Byford Quarantine station animals can be visited on the 27/12/2008 and 30/12/2008. As visiting hours differ between stations, please refer to the relevant Quarantine station for details.

For release of animals during the weekday, please refer to the relevant station for release hours. Animals are normally released on public holidays and weekends and the release of animals at each Quarantine station are:
Eastern Creek Quarantine station: 10:00 am to 10:30 am
Spotswood Quarantine station: 9.30 am to 10:30 am
Byford Quarantine station: 8.30 am to 9.30 am
As payments must be made prior to animal release, please organise these on or prior to 19/12/2008 if your animals are to be picked up during this period. All Quarantine stations will also be able to receive payments on 30/12/2008 and 31/12/2008.
