Last week we discussed tips for helping your cat settle in after a move and told you the story of Fluffy and Mittens, two sweet kitties who flew from Pakistan to the US. International cat travel often amounts to quite an adventure, and we want to hear more! That’s why we’re holding a contest to find the best cat travel story, and we’ll be giving away a great prize to the winner.
Many cats like to come and go as they please, prompting lots of owners to install cat doors in their homes. The only problem with this is the possibility for tresspassers; other cats may invite themselves into your space, eat your cat’s food and possibly leave their mark on your brand new sofa.
Enter the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door—a cat door that recognizes your cats by reading their microchip information. Intruders won’t be allowed through, so basically life becomes easier if you have a wandering kitty who tends to make friends wherever they go.
All you have to do to enter to win this gadget is share your cat travel story with us. How did you prepare for your trip? How did your cat behave before, during and after? We’d love to hear about your adventures and see your photos, and we’ll choose the best story as our winner.
This contest is open to U.S. residents who have moved or traveled with their cats, and it will run through Oct. 7. Go here to enter, and good luck, cat lovers!
***UPDATE: The deadline has been extended for another week, so you still have time to share your stories!
