Dog Travel to Mexico from the United States

Hi PetRelocation,

We are traveling through the US and into Latin America with our pet dog and hoping to fly to Mexico from Miami around November. Will this be possible?

We are looking for the easiest and most efficient and way to transport our pet to the above location.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Thank you for submitting a question to us! First, please review the pet import requirements for Mexico for an idea of what to expect regarding health documents, etc. Your dog will need a microchip if he doesn't have one already, followed by a rabies vaccine. Additional vaccines are not required but are strongly recommended.

In addition, we suggest looking over these essential pet travel tips for guidance regarding the travel crate and preparing your dog for a safe move.

If you think you'd like some help handling Hamish's move, please contact us for a consultation. We arrange door-to-door pet transportation for pets traveling via cargo and would be happy to discuss your options with you.

Hopefully this helps to get you started! Just let us know if we can be of further assistance.
