Dog Travels the Globe Raising Awareness for Shelters

Here's a dog who certainly has his paperwork in order!  Oscar is a lucky mutt who went from being a dumped dog at a shelter to a globe-trotting spokespup, drawing attention or shelters and homeless dogs worldwide.

From Oscar's blog on his Woof World Tour website:

This pet friendly World Woof Tour is my answer to that promise I made to my friends I left behind and the 475 million homeless dogs that are still dying for a place to call 'home'. This World Woof Tour is all about making one big, unified bark for my friends – the homeless hounds that yelp for help and a home around the world.

My tour is about showing the world just how cool pound hounds really are. Over 30 countries are on my hit list. I am going to fly, swim, sniff, walk, scratch, drive and even hand glide to over 60 organizations who work their woof off to support, uplift, encourage and better the life for dogs in their districts.

Together, we are going to create exciting and interesting events to draw positive attention for dog adoption with the global goal of getting doors opening for dogs. With your support of my Mighty Mutt Mission, we can save lives and give a dog a home, sweet bone.

That's great. Rescuing or adopting instead of buying a pet is always a great way to go!

Ha ha! My dog is a Taiwan Street Dog - came complete with a chinese passport!

To be honest, I was going to get a bred dog until a friend looked at me like I was crazy and set me straight. My rescue dog is the best thing that every happened to me! She is smart, healthy, and full of love.

While Oscar tells his story, remind the humans to spread the word too! Sometimes, it just takes one comment.
