Hello, I have a Red-Eared Slider turtle and I want to go to Romania (Bucharest). I received official permission to export the animal and health certification as well. I called the Romania Embassy but they say they don't know anything about this, so I don't know what I should do. Thanks, -Farshad

It sounds like you're on the right track with everything you've done so far. If the Romanian Embassy had nothing to add, perhaps it would be wise to try to contact the Romanian Customs Office just to be safe.
In general we'd advise that you check the CITES Species Database when moving exotic species through Europe to see if this particular species is protected. Check out our guidelines for the Import and Export of Exotic Species here.
