Dear PetRelocation,

How do I move my dogs from Virginia to Germany safely, and how approximately how much will it cost?

Thanks,

Hi Phyllis,

Thank you for your question! Moving from the United States to Germany with pets means you need to get acquainted with the EU pet import requirements and be sure your dogs have everything that's required. Here's an overview of the Germany pet import requirements.

If your dogs aren't microchipped you'll need to do that, and they also need to be up to date with standard vaccinations. As far as paperwork, an EU vet health certificate is necessary (and it needs to be endorsed by the USDA), and an international health certificate is required, as well.

If any of this sounds confusing and you think you'd like some assistance, you're welcome to fill out our free quote form. With a few more details we can give you a quote for your move and answer your primary questions.

Thanks for reaching out to us, and we hope to hear from you soon!
