Importing Rabbits into Saudi Arabia

Name: Sharifa
Number of Pets: 4
Pet Type: Rabbit
From: UK
To: Saudi Arabia

I will be buying rabbits and need to take them with me to a farm in Saudi Arabia. I don't have a clue of what the requirements for importing rabbits into Saudi Arabia are. Can you please tell me what I will need to do? Thank you so much.

Hello Sharifa,

Thanks for the question! Saudi Arabia is one of the stricter countries when it comes to importing pets, so it's a good idea to check with the appropriate authorities to make sure they allow the import of rabbits and find out what paperwork (import permits, health certificates, etc.) may be required.  You can check out the general Pet Import Requirements for Saudi Arabi here. Here is some contact information to get you started:

The National Authority for the Protection of Wildlife and Development
PO Box 61681
Riyadh 11575
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Tel: 01-441-8700
Fax: 01-441-8413

Be sure to check with the airline you'll be using as well to find out the most up-to-date rules and regulations. Good luck, and please contact one of our Pet Relocation Specialists if you have any more questions!
