International pet travel:  U.S to the Netherlands rules and requirements

What do I need for all my pets to move to the Netherlands, and not having them get quarantined? Do the Netherlands require a microchip? - David

Hi David,

PetRelocation.com has a place on our website that offers specific information regarding the rules and requirements regarding pet travel to the Netherlands.  By following these regulations, coming from the US your dogs and cats will not be quarantined upon arrival if you complete the necessary import requirements for pet transport to the Netherlands.
All pets entering EU countries will need an ISO-compatible microchip for import.  You can obtain this from your local veterinarian.  Common chip types include HomeAgain, ResQ, Crystal Tag and the AVID 10-digit chip.

Thanks for your inquiry and I wish you and your Husky and cat a safe and happy relocation!
