Moving a Puppy to Italy: Are rabies shots required?

If the dog is not old enough for the Rabies Vaccination, would a letter from my Vet confirming it be good enough? The puppy is 3 months old and the Vet says the puppy needs to be 4 months. -Shauntez

Hi Shauntez,

Thanks for your question. Italy requires that dogs are vaccinated for rabies no less than 30 days before entering the country, and puppies that are 3 months of age entering the EU must comply with the requirement.

Finally, you might want to take a look at the full Pet Import Requirements for Italy and please let us know if you have any more questions about moving your puppy to Italy. Good luck with your trip!
