Moving Cats to England

Name: Debra Thiessen
Number of Pets: 1
Pet Type: cat
Pet Breed: longhaired domestic
From: Illinois, USA
To: England, UK

We live in Illinois, USA and are relocating to England, UK. I have heard that there is a long process on moving a pet to England. Could you please let me know all the information I need to know from vaccinations, blood tests, paper work and possible quarantine, to make sure I can make this happen as smoothly and as quickly as possible. I am really worried about the quarantine and if I have to do this, where does she have to be sent to be quarantined? I feel so lost and would appreciate all your help. Thank you!

Hi Debra!  It's no surprise that you're feeling a bit overwhelmed about moving your cat from the US to England.  We actually have a step-by-step guide for moving pets to England that is available for download on our Pet Travel to the UK page.  By following the steps in advance, you can avoid quarantine in the UK completely (which is definitely the way to go, as quarantine can be quite expensive).
Once you fill out the form, you'll receive an email with your download that will walk you through the process for moving cats to the UK.  You'll also be signed up for our free reminder service that will remind you along the way to make sure you're staying on track!
You'll also receive an email from one of our Specialists who will see if you have any questions and also be able to provide you with a quotation for our services.
So head on over to our UK Pet Travel page and get started on your cat's move today!
