No Surprises Here: Winter Storm Will Impact Pet Air Travel This Weekend

You've certainly heard about the impending winter storm expected to hit the Northeast in a few hours (it's been dubbed "Nemo" by the Weather Channel), and we wanted to update you with what we know about what this will mean for air travelers.

United Airlines has confirmed that they've canceled a few flights arriving and departing in cities that are in the path of the storm, and these changes will affect pet air travel as well. For airports in Boston and New York City as well as Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont, there will be restrictions in place from now, Friday Feb. 8, through midnight on Sunday, Feb. 10. If you're flying to or from any of these areas this weekend on any airline, it's likely you'll face a cancellation.

Double check all air travel plans before heading to the airport this weekend (wherever you may be flying), and please contact PetRelocation with any questions about pet travel and severe weather.

Stay safe, everyone!
