We've previously discussed the pet-friendly airport scene, but of course it's helpful to examine the airlines, as well. Traveling can be overwhelming due to all the big decisions that need to be made, and it's no surprise that airlines have realized how important it is to meet the needs of the increasing number of pet travelers out there.
How does each airline handle the demands of pet travel, and what are they doing to distinguish themselves from one another? These are a couple of the questions we're interested in addressing.
All this month we'll be exploring the services and perks offered by various pet-friendly airlines, and first up is JetBlue Airways. Before we dive into the topic of pet-friendly services, here's a little background info.
-This budget-conscious American airline is based in Queens, New York. In addition to serving around 20 different states, JetBlue also offers flights to Caribbean and Central American countries like the Bahamas, Jamaica, Mexico and Costa Rica.
-JetBlue was founded in 1999 and has worked to set itself apart from other airlines by offering comfortable features (in-flight entertainment, for example) and reasonable prices.
-The airline has consistently been rated highly in customer satisfaction polls, and they operate a frequent-flyer program called TrueBlue.
-JetBlue also keeps up a blog called BlueTales, where you can find fun stories as well as up-to-date news about the airline.
What kind of pet friendly amenities does JetBlue offer? We'll explore that very question this week as we take a closer look at the JetBlue JetPaws Pet Program. Check back with us for everything you need to know about this pet-friendly airline!
