Pet Travel News Update: Swiss Import Permits

Traveling to Switzerland anytime soon? An important change has been made regarding import procedures into the country. Effective immediately, import permits will no longer be required for dogs and cats from rabies-risk countries arriving as cargo.

Import permits will still be required for dogs and cats from these countries if they are flying in the cabin or as excess baggage. For more information about this change and to find a link to a document listing all rabies-free, low rabies, and rabies risk countries, visit the ACE Pet Moving site.

Find out more about pet travel to Switzerland, and read about the pet travel adventures of a family of American expatriates who recently moved to Switzerland with their cat, Ezra. And, as always, please contact us if you have any questions about shipping pets, and visit the PetRelocation.com Facebook page to see what everyone's talking about today!
