Pet Travel Q&A: How To Ship A Dog To Pakistan

Hi PetRelocation,

I have a dog and I want to send it to my friend in Pakistan as present. What shall I do? What are the necessary documents or procedures I need to know about so my dog will surely and safely reach my friend in Pakistan?

Hi Annalyn,

Thank you for your inquiry! We'd be happy to discuss your pet transport options to Pakistan.

To start, take a look at the pet import requirements for Pakistan. Essentially you'll need to make sure your dog is up-to-date on basic vaccines (including rabies), and the necessary paperwork needs to be in order.

To double check what is needed when coming from Cyprus, we recommend reaching out directly to a Pakistan government source, such as the Pakistan Ministry of Agriculture or Animal Quarantine Department

In general, it's also important to choose a pet-friendly airline and secure an airline-approved crate—you can read more of our essential pet travel tips here

You can find more information about all of this on our website, and you're welcome to contact us if you'd like to find out more about our door-to-door services and options for shipping dogs to Pakistan.

Hope this helps! Thanks for the question, and good luck with everything!

Hi, i m intrested to send my dog (Huskey) from Uae to Pakistan (Islambad) Can u pls tell me what to do for that? &

By Maegan at PetRelocation on September 10, 2018 at 11:57 am

Hi Aymed! Here are the requirements for moving pets to Pakistan. The health certificate is only valid for 7 days, so we typically suggest your vet in the UAE issue this on a Wednesday for a Tuesday departure. You'll want to make sure your pet is arriving when customs is open (between 9 AM - 5 PM). If you are looking to hire a company like ours to manage this process for you, please fill out our Arrange A Move form and a consultant will reach out to you soon. Thanks!

Hi Rana! Thanks for your question. Since we are located in the United States, IPATA would be an ideal resource for a move like this. You can search local pet shippers by country using their directory. Hope this helps!

Hi, though you answered most of my questions but i dont habe any proper information about pitbull? I have like a one year(human life) old dog and he's a pitbull, so please tell me if i am gonna habe some trouble to bring my dog to Pakistan from USA?

Hello Yasir,

Thanks for reaching out!

Pit Bull Terriers are listed as a "restricted breed" by most airlines, which means you may need a special type of travel crate, called a CR-82, for your dog's upcoming move.

While we are not aware of any restrictions for Pit Bulls specific to Pakistan, it is always a good idea to refer to the government site here to double check.

If you would like further assistance, please feel free to contact us here. I hope this helps, Yasir. Best of luck with everything!
