Pet Travel Question: Canada Import Requirements

From: Taipei, Taiwan
To: Saskatoon, Canada
I'm a Canadian citizen who wants to transport a dog I've acquired in Taiwan to Canada. What requirements must I meet to transport my dog? The dog is a 5 year-old mixed breed and has been neutered. I'm not sure if I can get all of the vet records for the animal. What stipulations are there for Rabies vaccinations? Thanks in advance, -Rob

Thanks for contacting us with your question. Please review the Pet Import Requirements for Canada to find out more about what steps you'll need to take for your move. You'll see that the rabies vaccine should be obtained at least 30 days before departure but within the last year.
