I recently had to quickly move back to England and I had to leave my small lap dog behind. I am now trying to get him from Cairo, Egypt to London, England, and am wondering what type of jabs he will need and what other documentation he will need. What is the process for getting him to England and how long approximately will this take? Also, if you know an average price of what that would cost, that would be very helpful. I am only here for a year, I don't want my dog to be quarantined. Thank you.

Thanks for your question! Unfortunately it sounds like you have a tricky situation at hand. Currently there are quarantine requirements for pets entering the UK, however those rules are set to change Jan. 1, 2012. Take a look at the new UK pet rules and decide how you'd like to schedule your trip -- it sounds like you may want to wait until the first of the year to move your dog.
