Pet Travel Question: Moving to Australia

Name: Shirley
Number of Pets: Two
Pet Type: Dogs
Pet Breed: Labrador
From: Danang, Vietnam
To: Sydney, Australia

What is the best and most cost-effective way to bring both dogs back to Sydney? Will there be a quarantine involved and if so, for how long? Thanks, -Shirley

Hi Shirley,

Because it's rabies-free, Australia is one of the more restrictive countries when it comes to importing pets. The process to gain entry will take at least 150 days, and a 30-day quarantine must then be carried out upon arrival.
