Switzerland is a delightful country with beautiful mountains and lakes as well as green meadows to run in. There are cuckoo clocks, cheese and country markets to explore; and thats just the beginning. There is something special about this little piece of the world, and it really doesnҒt matter when you go as the wild flowers that bloom in spring or the chill of a winter spent high in the Alps; the magic is still there anytime! So how about you take Fido in hand and head for the experience of a lifetime and visit Geneva, Switzerland? Do check out the countrys rules and regulations before you go though so that you comply with any legal requirements.

Perhaps not for your pet this time though; although a quiet picnic together would be fine.

Take a boat ride around Lake Lusern in the mountains and then enjoy a rail ride up the mountain afterwards. The Centovalli railway is another must do local attraction; but not for the faint hearted as speeding little trains will weave through breathtaking scenery including sheer ravines and past mountain villages.

There's also Switzerlands most famous landmark; the Matterhorn with year round snowboarding and a terrific rocky peak for you to explore safely in any number of tours.

Also do make time to visit Geneva's lake front, the colorful flower clock, St Peters Cathedral and the Reformation Wall while in this modern city as well as the attractive and dynamic city of Lausanne.

Why not discover the sights and lovely scenery of GenevaҒs surrounding countryside in a leisurely, ecological, healthy and invigorating manner? On a bicycle, of course! With Fido securely seated in a basket together you will find yourselves in the country amidst the vineyards, forests, fields and brooks in no time. Geneva is the culinary capital of Switzerland and an impressive array of haute cuisine restaurants and bistros with classic or innovative cuisine du terroir - in the city and in the country - attract a remarkable number of people to the Rhne city. This is a region that delights in traditional flavors and Genevans still enjoy their classics such as Longeole, a raw sausage which is not completely matured, made from coarse-grained meat and the gelatinous parts of pig, often spiced with wild fennel, garlic, muscat nut and white wine.

Let Fido lead the way to find fresh fruits and vegetables at one of the many local markets in and around Geneva such as Chapel, Liotard or Grand-Pr.
