Pet Travel Weather Update: More Snow & Cold Approaches East Coast

With temperatures predicted to dip and snow expected to fall across the East Coast and later the Mid-Atlantic region, pet travelers should once again expect delays and cancellations this week.

Specifically, United PetSafe operations will be restricted for Chicago, Newark and D.C. airports. For Newark (EWR) and Dulles (IAD), cargo pet travel will be restricted beginning at 10 a.m. EST today and remain in place until 12 p.m. EST Wednesday, Jan. 22.

For Chicago O'Hare (ORD), from midnight tonight, Jan. 21 until midnight Wednesday, Jan. 22 pet flights will be restricted.

If you had a PetSafe flight scheduled during this time for one of these locations, please call the PetSafe desk to rebook the shipment or talk to your PetRelocation specialist if we're helping you with your move. If you're flying with a different airline and think you may be affected, be sure to contact them before proceeding with any travel plans.

Keep in touch as more news is announced, and stay warm and safe, pet lovers!
