Questions about Rabies Vaccines and Pet Travel

Dear PetRelocation,

All three dogs traveled with us from the US to Belize three months ago with current rabies shots. We are returning to the US in another three months. Will the dogs need another rabies shot?

Hi John,

According to the pet import requirements for the United States, the rabies vaccine must be up to date and must have been administered at least 30 days before departure. Unless your dogs' vaccines are set to expire between now and when you leave, it sounds like you're good to go.
