Relocation from Canada to Kuwait City with a Dog

Name: Christine

Subject: Pet Moving to Kuwait City from Canada and I want to bring my puppy.

Question: I currently live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and am planning on relocating to Kuwait city for work. I have a 5 month old Yorkie who weighs approx 4lbs. I will be moving in the new year and need to know what I need to do in order to bring him over there with me. Is it true they will quarantine him when I get to the airport? Also my flight goes from Edmonton to Frankfurt Germany then to Kuwait City...If you could please help me out that would be great 😊

Answer: Hello Christine!

You will be able to avoid quarantine time if you obtain an import permit issued and endorsed by the Ministry of Agriculture in Canada and an international health certificate issued by your Ministry of Agriculture approved vet, which is a form that states your dog is up-to-date on all his shots and is healthy enough to travel. If you have any more questions, or need some clarification, our specialist who handles Kuwait, Scotty, would be happy to help you! His email address is Scotty[at]petrelocation[dot]com. Have a great move!
