Hi All,

I have been offered a 2 year contract in Singapore and wanted to know how long the quarantine would be for my dog on the way there and then also coming back into Australia.

She is 3 years old and in good health. I'm really nervous about leaving her in quarantine for too long, though.

Regards,
Fiona

Hi Fiona,

Good news: Pets coming from Australia are not subject to a quarantine in Singapore, as Australia is a "Category A" country. See the full list of Singapore pet import requirements.

When you return to Australia, your dog will need to undergo a 10 day quarantine (those are currently the rules, but keep in mind that these could be different in 2+ years). When it comes to pet travel, it's important to double check everything and start planning well in advance.

Take a look at few basic pet travel tips and best practices as you continue to research your options, and if you think you'd like to find out more about our door-to-door services, please fill out our free quote form. Traveling with snub-nosed pets requires particularly careful planning, and we'd be happy to advise you about your move options.

Hope this helps, and we hope to hear from you!
