Hello,

What paper work do my Dachshunds need to travel?

Thanks,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for the question -- we're happy to help. First, take a look at the pet import requirements for the United States. Comparatively speaking they're not overly strict, but you will need to spend a little time making sure your dogs are up to date on their rabies vaccines and, within 10 days of departure, you'll need to get vet health certificates stating they're fit to fly.

You should also choose a pet friendly airline (we often use United, which has an established PetSafe program) and check with them beforehand with any specific travel questions you may have. It's important to secure the correct travel crates, as these play a big role in your dogs' overall safety and comfort.

Please contact us if you're interested in a free quote for our services, and good luck relocating your Dachshunds!
