Traveling with Pets to Mumbai, India just got easier!

Petrelocation.com - We use Continental Airlines whenever we can, when it comes to pet flying our customers' live animals! They have developed a great pet program and really do work on treating the animals the way they should be treated - with care, respect and safety as their #1 concern.

We just saw this press release and its great to see that they have added this non stop flight, as we have tons of customers who relocate to India on a monthly basis. For those moving with their pets to Mumbai, India - we strongly suggest this flight plan!

September 19, 2007. Houston, Texas- Continental Airlines will begin new non-stop Boeing 777 service from its New York area hub at Newark Liberty International Airport to Mumbai, India on October 1, 2007. This new service will compliment Continentals existing non-stop service from Newark to Delhi.

This new service will link the worldҒs financial center with Indias commercial and entertainment capital. Mumbai is the largest trans-Atlantic market not currently served by Continental and offers significant opportunities for growth in the future, said Jim Compton, ContinentalԒs executive vice-president-marketing. Mumbai will be the 30th city in Continentals trans-Atlantic network.

Initial service will operate four days a week until October 22nd. Then the cargo-friendly Boeing 777-200 will depart daily from Newark as Flight #48 at 8:20pm and arrive in Mumbai (formally Bombay) at 9:40pm the following evening. Flight #49 will depart Mumbai daily at 11:40pm and arrive in Newark at 5:25am. The westbound flight will offer convenient connections to ContinentalҒs North American, South American and Asian destinations from its Newark and Houston hubs.

Everybody says the next boom market for cargo is India and our success in Delhi is proving just that. Mumbai is the next logical piece in the puzzle, said Jim McKeon, Continental Cargos Managing Director, Global Sales and Marketing. ғI had the chance to make sales calls in Mumbai earlier this year. The local forwarders were very enthusiastic; what a great way to follow up on their excitement about Continental.
