How to Move Your Dogs to Australia

Hello,

I am currently assessing the options available to move my dogs to Sydney, Australia. They currently are in Guadalajara, Mexico.

I am aware that this would be a particularly difficult transportation process (that they would need to go via the United States and be there for the majority of vaccinations, etc).

I would like to know if your company has done a move from Mexico to the US, US to Australia before and of course the approximate cost.

Thank you,

Nicola

Hi Nicola,

Thank you for your question! PetRelocation has helped several pets move to Australia from non-approved countries and we'd be happy to discuss your options with you.

It sounds like you already know a bit about the process, but for more details please take a look at our Australia pet travel guide that includes information about moving from non-approved countries. We typically recommend that pet owners go through the United States because this is a country with relatively simple import rules, and straightforward routing is available from Los Angeles to Australia.

If you'd like to discuss costs and details, please contact us to set up a consultation. The costs will depend on several details so it's difficult to provide an appropriate estimate until we gather a little more information.

In the meantime, you're welcome to look over the above information as well as this account from Pierre, our client who moved from Brazil to Australia via the United States.

Hope this helps and we hope to hear from you!
